Let them eat bread!

I have been wanting a Kitchenaid for ages. I finally got one :) Merry Christmas to me! I got a truly amazing deal on it--half of the cheapest price anywhere else. Now I can start making all my own bread at last. I've also made a lot more cookies since I got it. And brownies from scratch. This was a GOOD investment!





But my loaf-shaping could use a little practice.

Irish twins

Rob likes to joke that Sam and Viv are "Irish twins". I suspect that in the future, we may have a hard time convincing people they aren't actual twins. If he stays on the tall side, I just have a feeling they are going to look like they're the same age, and with their amazing coloring... We'll see....
